I am working on ameraucanas, olive eggers, american game and now starting. Ameraucana will only lay shades of blue. I have a barred rock and an ameraucana that i got from the feed store that are both 13 weeks old (the 3rd one, a rhode island red, all of a sudden had seizures then. My husband and i have started a small flock of chickens, primarily for egg production. It’s not lavender, but they’re pretty. Hatchery ees have some ameraucana and some araucana blood in them,but they also have production blood in them.if it says it can lay brown , blue ,pink or green eggs it. I breed both purebred ameraucana and easter eggers. I am just getting started with lavenders and am hoping to learn from. General rule of thumb with ameraucana:
